About the role & the team
As a Sales Engineer you will manage our global demo environment, support other SEs in demo prep, build custom extensions, and engage directly with our prospects as needed. You will lead the technical discovery and present the solution to prospective customers. In order to support the prospect in their decision process, it is important that you have a good overview of the system landscape when it comes to e-commerce, content management, and digital marketing, as well as the back-end systems supporting the PIM process. It is also important that you have a solid technical background, so you are able to extend our product to support custom demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs). inRiver has a strong and growing partner eco-system. As a sales engineer you will also work closely with our partners’ sales organization to help them understand the inRiver software, as a part of their value proposition.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical discovery in the sales process
- Present the recommended solution - Work with the Sales team/Partners in responding to RFPs - Provide market insights and feedback to the product development team
- Orchestrate the discussions with prospects’ executives around their business needs and vision of a solution
- Build and maintain our global demo environment
- Build Extensions and Connectors
- Respond to technical questions from customers (i.e RFPs & security assessments)
Requirements
- At least 5+ years experience as a consultant or sales engineer
- Expert knowledge about information integration and information logistics
- Expert understanding of the modern system landscape
- Proven experience selling and implementing Enterprise software
- Experience from conversion optimization, SEO and related commerce areas
- Native English
- BS/BA in Systems Engineering BICT or equivalent
Beneficial
- PIM domain
- Experience managing and/or participating in key-roles in enterprise systems implementation projects
- Mastering MDM and DAM and related systems and services
- Knowledge about print production using Adobe InDesign
- Working knowledge of Web development
- Experience working with Enterprise software, e-commerce, CMS and/or search- and merchandising engines
- Experience participating in systems implementation projects
- Experience in Demo-methodologies like Great Demo! and Demo2Win
