About the job
inRiver is expanding its sales engineering team to support our continued growth. As the Director of the Sales Engineering team in EMEA, you will manage our team and prospects and work with Sales and/or our Partners to lead the technical discovery of our customer/prospect needs. In order to support the team and prospects in their decision process, it is important that you have a good overview of the system landscape when it comes to e-commerce, content management, and digital marketing, as well as the back-end systems supporting the PIM process. It is also important that you have a good understanding of the Retail, Distribution and Manufacturing industries.
This position will also play a role in managing our global environment, support other SEs in demo prep, build custom extensions, and engage directly with our prospects as needed as they try to determine the right solution for them. This is truly a leader/ technologist role and will be seen as an expert throughout the organization.
Requirements
- At least 7+ years experience as a consultant or sales engineer
- Previous Leadership / People Management Experience
- Authoritative knowledge about information integration and information logistics
- Authoritative understanding of the modern IT system landscape
- Extensive experience selling and implementing Enterprise software
- Deep knowledge about the PIM domain
- Experience from conversion optimization, SEO and related commerce areas
- English business level
- BS/BA in Systems Engineering BICT or equivalent
- Mastering MDM and DAM and related systems and services
- Knowledge about print production using Adobe InDesign
- Working knowledge of Web development
- Experience working with Enterprise software, e-commerce, CMS and/or search- and merchandising engines
- Experience participating in systems implementation projects
- Experience in Demo-methodologies like Great Demo! and Demo2Win
