About the job & the team

The Director Sales Development will be responsible for the overall success of the Sales Development team. Today, we have a team of experienced Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) in the Chicago office supporting lead generation activities for the North American market. The Sales Director will have responsibility for achieving our lead and software revenue targets from this team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve new Annual Contract Value (ACV) Revenue targets from the SDR Team
  • Hire, lead, coach and manage a team responsible for lead generation in the North America market
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Reps to develop territory plans, sales strategies and messaging to key prospects
  • Provide leadership, inspiration and motivation to team members
  • Sales 101 Training – tactics and techniques, sales process and messaging
  • Ensure prospect database aligns with target market.  Evaluate and Procure 3rd party tools that will assist in prospecting efforts
  • Sales Operations NA (Reports & dashboards)
  • Administrative (compensation plans, reviews, training)


  • 5-10 years’ experience leading a B2B Sales team selling to mid-market and enterprise customers
  • BS/BA Degree required
  • Successful track record of exceeding sales quotas as an individual contributor at a software company, preferably SaaS-based
  • Experience working in a startup environment where everyone plays multiple roles but still maintain a focus on executing against your core objectives
  • Proven ability to drive a sales process from initial call to close
  • Must be able to work full-time at our office in Chicago
