About the job

As Academy Manager, you will plan and manage the implementation of inRiver’s Academy Strategy across a wide range of online and classroom training solutions and programs. You will be accountable for managing a cross functional team of subject matter experts in the creation of content and courses, including organising and supporting inRiver’s Global Services team in the delivery of regular partner online training webinars.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Implement inRiver’s Academy Strategy for all, including prospective and new customers, partners and inRiverian’s
  • Identify personas and develop effective training solutions for these personas
  • Design a portfolio of effective training packages and solutions that develops any identified persona’s learning curve and learning path.
  • Provide knowledge content that shortens sales lifecycle for suspect and prospective customers, whilst also providing foundational knowledge for new customers
  • Manage the development and quality assure the creation of all educational content from a group of subject matter experts and stakeholders across inRiver, its partners, customers and industry speakers based on your strategy objectives
  • Manage the development and growth of inRiver’s e-learning capability as our “first point of contact” for all customer training
  • Manage and track certified customer and partners, ensuring a regular cadence of evaluation and testing.
  • Drive adoption of Academy content across a wide range of channels and mediums to ensure the maximum penetration of the Academy brand globally to all  

Required Skills  

  • Expert understanding of the methods/principals for designing effective online and classroom programs
  • Proven expert understanding of adult learning theory and concepts as it relates to the technology industry and ideally software.
  • Attention to detail with a strong technical aptitude
  • Advanced level communications skills with emphasis on writing and the ability to describe complex and technical topics clearly and accurately, with target audience in mind
  • Resourceful with a curious and persistent approach to issue resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Creative and broad approach to developing training solutions
  • Creative and engaging approach to leadership
  • Advanced presentation skills both in person, public speaking and conducting on-line webinars, with a practical working understanding of the technical solutions and software required to broadcast across a range of channels

Qualifications:  

  • Degree in Technical Communications, Technical Training, or other relevant field is a plus
  • 5+ years experience related to Training & Development
  • 2+years experience managing an online platform (LMS)
  • Business Management qualification preferred but not essential
  • Accreditation to a recognized professional, regional body related to training and development
