Senior Product Designer
Inriver is at an exciting juncture in its development as an Enterprise and Global Saas company. With over 600 clients in Europe and North America, inriver is evolving from a strong mid-market/SMB Saas-provider for PIM (Product Information Management) to a truly global player with manufacturing and retail brands that are recognizable by the masses. To see some of our great customers visit: inriver.com.
At the same time, the software segment that we are in, PIM (also referred to as “PXM” Product eXperience Management), is evolving rapidly as well. Initially, PIM was used as a way to move product data from backend data repositories (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics and MDM tools) to burgeoning e-commerce channels. More recently, enterprises have come to view PIM as a gateway for consolidated and validated product information into a variety of channels including brick and mortar retail, print channels, advertising, and many others. Couple this expansion with the power of generative AI, and we have a very dynamic market that is projected to grow at a rate of 25% per year over the next five year. In this context, we are seeking an energetic and thoughtful leader for Product Design to join our Product Management team. This leader will bring a holistic view of both the design elements needed for product success as well as knowledge of user exploration, heuristics and leading-edge user interfaces. The Product Designer will work as a third of the “triad” that also includes the product manager and the technical lead of the scrum team. Inriver is moving towards the model of an “Empowered Team” for software development most often vocalized by Marty Kagan. The Senior Product Design will balance this empowerment with the need to have a unified visual approach to the end users experience including white space treatment, product navigation, process flow and iconography.
Inriver generally uses Figma for design communication and continuity, but we are open to learning other tools and deploying design thought in different ways according to the skills brought by the new Senior Product Designer.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader possessing a unique blend of strategic vision and technical design expertise. He or she will need to drive innovation and excellence in
our user interface and user experience design efforts. The Senior Product Designer will report to our Chief Product Officer, and the position can be based in Malmö or Stockholm.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to significantly improve the user experience of our enterprise software products and contribute to the company's overall success.
