Payroll Specialist
Purpose of the Role
The Payroll Specialist ensures smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll operations across all Inriver entities, acting as a bridge between our People, Finance, and external payroll partners.
About the Role
You’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performing People team with great energy, curiosity, and ambition! Our team brings together HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Office Management, and Enablement — all working closely to create an amazing employee experience.
You’ll report directly to our CPCO, and if you’re someone who loves bringing structure, accuracy, positive energy, and fresh ideas for improvement, this is absolutely the place to be!
Our team operates on a global level, with colleagues based across Sweden, the Philippines, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. This position is physically based in Malmö, Sweden, with flexibility to work part of the week remotely.
What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries in collaboration with external payroll providers (e.g., Deel).
- Ensure timely and accurate salary payments, bonuses, and benefits administration.
- Maintain compliance with local tax, labor, and social security regulations.
- Work closely with HR and Finance to manage payroll data, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Oversee expense report management via systems such as Concur.
- Support audits, reporting, and data validation as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Key Stakeholders
You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders across Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and the US, including employees, managers, HR, and Finance teams. You’ll also work closely with our external partners — Deel (payroll), Concur (expense reporting), and pension providers — to ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll operations across all markets.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in payroll administration across multiple countries.
- Solid understanding of Swedish labor law and payroll compliance.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems (HiBob, Deel, or similar).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in English; Swedish is a plus.
Growth Opportunity
If you’ve already built a solid foundation in payroll management and are eager to expand your horizons within the People function, this role offers the perfect springboard.
The most natural next step from this position would be into Global Benefits or People Operations, where your experience and attention to detail will make a real impact on both our team and our employees.
And if you see other areas where your skills, curiosity, and initiative could add value — we’re all ears. At Inriver, we love people who want to grow, explore, and shape what’s next.
